S&C recently completed a project for which we provided consulting and project management services for a newly built power station equipped with four Solar Turbine Taurus 60 gas turbine-driven generators. Our responsibilities included
- Commissioning the process control system (PCS), emergency shutdown system (ESD), and fire and gas (F&G) control system
- Consulting services for the power station control system scope and architecture as well as for unit start-up
- Conducting a site survey
- Participating in developing the power station control narrative
- Reviewing and approving equipment start-up procedures
- Developing operational and commissioning procedures for the power station
- Overseeing the power station control system development and installation during construction
- Supervising commissioning activities for subsystems and integrated plant systems as well as auxiliary equipment
